How to Read a Vape Pack in the UAE: Warnings, Age Notice and ECAS

Checklist: what to check on a UAE vape pack, including warning, age notice, nicotine strength, tank size and ECAS certificate

Short answer: A UAE vape label should carry a health warning in Arabic and English, a notice that sale is only to people over 18, and a clear nicotine strength. The model also needs ECAS certification from MoIAT. Check the pack, then check the numbers against the 20 mg/ml and 10 ml limits in UAE.S 5030.

Start with the warning

According to a compliance guide for UAE manufacturers, the required text says nicotine causes severe addiction, raises heart rate and blood pressure, and is harmful to pregnant and nursing women and people with chronic lung disease. The Tobacco Control Laws summary says the warning must cover at least half of the main display area, with English on the lower front and Arabic on the lower back. A pack without it, or with it in one language only, is a flag.

Then the age notice

The labels should state that the product can be sold only to someone over 18, according to Gulf News, which was reporting the health ministry’s explanation. Products with e-liquid carry an extra warning.

The numbers that matter

Two figures decide whether a product sits within the national standard: nicotine in mg/ml, and the size of any built-in tank in ml. The standard’s limits are 20 mg/ml and 10 ml, with refill bottles capped at 50 ml. Our guide to the UAE rules has the table. Compare the pack with the listing, and both with those limits.

A checklist you can run at the door

Check Where to look A sound answer
Health warning Pack, front and back Arabic and English text on nicotine addiction
Age notice Pack States sale is only to people over 18
Nicotine strength Pack and listing Printed in mg/ml, matching the listing
Tank or liquid volume Pack and listing Printed in ml, matching the listing
Certification Seller’s paperwork ECAS certificate for the exact model
Maker details Pack Batch number and manufacturer named

When the pack and the listing disagree

The same model name can carry different nicotine strengths in different countries, so a mismatch is not proof of a fake. It is still a reason to stop and ask before you use it. Photograph the pack and message the seller, as our guide to spotting a genuine vape suggests.

What a label can’t tell you

A printed warning shows a pack follows the labelling rule. It does not prove the product was certified. Certification is a separate document, which is why we keep saying to ask for it.

The job is simple to describe and fiddly to do: take specs from each product listing, date every price, compare devices on numbers a buyer can check, and flag anything that doesn't add up instead of guessing.
